Over the past few weeks, our Bargaining Team has presented the employer with detailed, reasonable, and well-researched proposals for improvements to job security, job progression, and fairness and dignity for CAS. This afternoon, the Bargaining Team is excited to receive meaningful responses from the employer on these key issues so we can move forward with bargaining.
The newly-approved 2022–2027 Strategic Plan affirms the employer’s commitment to ‘[a]ddress structural injustices and seek to achieve equity at the University’. We look forward to hearing how they will put this plan into action by working with us to alleviate job insecurity, advance equity for CAS, and ensure all academic staff at St. Jerome’s can live and work with dignity.
